Reviewer (and Writers!) Wanted

If anyone's up for it, could someone write up a review of the Web Trial of RKS Freudenstachel? Thanks.

Actually, I wouldn't mind having another writer for the RKS blog. Any takers?

  1. Maybe. How much work and what sort of duties would it entail?

  3. @Anon: Just post RKS-related news, reviews, whatever.

  4. Well, I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but I wrote an impressions post for the site I write for, GamingFringe. I think it turned out okay for day-one impressions, but you can judge for yourself: http://www.gamingfringe.com/indie-pendence-day-impressions-rosenkreuzstilette-freudenstachel/

Incidentally, I really appreciate this blog for linking to my review of the first Rosenkreuzstilette. Thanks! :D

Maybe. I mean, I like RKS and I follow it a lot, but I rely on this blog for info instead of getting it from the source. It sounds what you want is some support with producing content for it, especially when it's quiet from here to release. Is that true?

  6. @Iam: I like it. I'd like to see things like that here, stuff that doesn't come from me.

@Anon: Yeah, pretty much. I'm sure other people see things that I don't within RKS fandom, or, at the very least, want to discuss other things. Fan feedback is kind of the big thing I'm going for.

  7. I would love to volunteer and write stuff for the Rosenkreuzstilete blog. Maybe I could do more RKS fanart showcases. Of course, there won't be any of my own works, just Rosenkreuzstilette stuff I found online. Otherwise, I'll gladly do it.

But I can't do the review because I can't get Freudenstachel to work.

  8. Letty, what kind of review should it be ? Similar to the one you did with that Melonsquash-thingy ?

Don't hit me in the head (neiiin T_T), but what kind of device did you use for your screenshots ? Printscreen or something ? Yeah, that's many questions.

If I have some spare time tonight, I'll try to make a usable replay, and see what I can do with it. And I'll take revenge from Zorne (die die diiiiiiiiiiie) ! X_X

  9. @Killing Doll: You can press F12 while playing any of the RKS and it will save a .bmp of the image presently on the screen.

  10. Alright, thanks for the tip ;-)

KD's in for the review, I'll try to make that today maybe. Roger that.

    WARNING: Contains loads of spoilers!

I must say that Sichte's stage really kicked my ass. I can't imagine what Schwer's stage is going to be like.

    Enjoy:)

  12. Updating my last comment, I'll do my best to make sure I please you and everyone here.

  13. @Killing_Doll: I'm actually looking for something like Deltashade's review of the C75 demo and less like Melon Squash.

@Shinku: Awesome. I'll link to those videos in the next update.

  14. Holy cow, love Sichte's new stage! Thank you for the video post!

And the ending was real nice. :P

Thanks Letty. Glad you like the video.

  16. Sichte's emerald shards in Freudenstachel are IMPOSSIBLE to dodge... ~T_T~

  17. @ViperAcidZX
I managed to dodge 'em a few times by jumping over the first shard, then sliding under the second. The problem I think are the daggers that fall down on you.

  18. @Shinku:
I can dodge the knives that fall on me after the emerald shards, but those shards are hard as hell to dodge. Especially when she's in Desperation Mode.

  19. What kind of content would benefit the RKS fandom the most, by the way? :o

    Just asking!

  20. @Macha
I would like to see some cosplay pics of the characters. I don't think I've seen one yet.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Macha:
If you ask me, RKS NEEDS some MADs. Hell this series is more than ready for some MAD, though its a shame that no one is making any... T_T

    ReplyDelete
  22. Shinuku and Viper are correct, there NEEDS to be RKS cosplay and MADS, because if Touhou can do it, why not Rosenkreuzstilette?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The emerald shards are pretty damn easy! O.o

Before they come at you, jump then the first one will shot to the sky and then jump over the second one.
In her overdrive it's a little trickier but I guess it should work.

Try to dodge the knives while she manipulates time, now THIS is hard.
Still, her Time manipulations just rock!

  24. @Grana:
I wrote down how Sicthe's time manipulation works on her wiki.

  25. @Macha: Exposure. Anything that will amount to exposure of the series beyond being a simple Megaman clone will benefit the series.

  26. Funny that you mention that, Letty. Because what I'm working something that Grolla and Sichte has in common with characters from other series. That's all I'm going to say, don't want to spoil it once its finished, though its pretty minor and I messed up on some stuff in the process that I can't undo...

  27. @Letty
Hm, gotta think on something that would help there, then. A fanfic probably doesn't do much in that regard (especially when it'd be for Sichte/Grolla)

Some nice videos would probably help indeed, as videos that are nice tend to get people interested (see all the people getting to Touhou by videos). Unfortunately, videos are hard to do without footage. Gonna think about it some more, hm hm.

    @ViperAcidZX
I automatically agree with you because your list mentions Kannazuki no Miko. The sure fire way to get me to agree to anything: Adding something involving this anime, haha.

  28. Well, I'm really being entrained by what you guys are coming up with, hope that they come out really good.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Macha: Fanfiction is perfectly acceptable for submission otherwise, you know. I'm personally interested.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Finally improved: now I managed a 22mn run including the Prologue stage, there's still room for a huge improved but it's survival first. ^_^;

I made a few screenshots for a review, I'll be on it...

I extracted the BGM's data, Sichte's stage song is just too fine. Perfect for listening while wandering on the Net.

  31. Letty, are you looking for specific length in fanfic, or specific places to post (Devart/other place/?)?

Just asking, writing may be the only way for me to properly contribute.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Macha: I have some webspace now, so I can host them myself if you'd like. And no, there's no limit to the length. If you want to write a novel about Grolla and Sichte being lovers, be my guest. Anything is fine.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Certainly no novel, I was just looking for something to contribute and wondered if there was any general preferance.

Gotta plot first to not embarass myself utterly. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, good luck, Macha. Hope it's awesome.
