New Luste Teuber Official RKSF Art

Well we're back, everyone. I know this got mentioned quite a bit in the comments of the previous post, but I feel as if this Luste concept art by WOMI really needs an honorable mention here on the blog in full detail. (After all, this is an Rosenkreuzstilette blog.)

You can view it here in the latest site update: NWS http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html NWS

One quick thing I'd like to add: I also stumbled onto WOMI's personal blog, and [erka:es] is still hard at work with ~Freudenstachel~. Hopefully Summer Comiket 2011 will be the date we see ~RKSF~ in it's entirety. I hope.

  1. Wow, Luste is that thin?! She needs to eat a little more.
I don't like Luste, so I wish it was Liebea making that pose instead.

  2. I am not a fan of this picture at all. Just sayin'.

  3. Listen Mint. You never stated previously there were restrictions on hotlinking images. Plus, this is an RKS blog. As long as it's something regarding an official update to the series, whenever it be updates to the games, new concept artwork, the final arrival of a fansite/press kit, etc. We, as blog writters, should be allowed to talk about it.

Plus if I'm not mistaken, you did hotlink an image back in July '09 (the one w/ Lecht and Rink). So why is it considered taboo that I do the same with this one? Is it because Luste's buttocks are clearly visible?

Also, "WOMI posts a Luste picture, and someone hotlinks it here" isn't much of an appropriate title. If you want to make changes to a blogpost that you didn't write, you should consider e-mailing the writer, asking them to make the changes. If you had e-mailed me rather than jumping the gun, this post would look a lot much cleaner (i.e. better title, and no rude comments at the end). If it's really going to cause the end of the world, then go ahead and make the changes yourself. But please, for the love of god

Mint, you may think I'm stupid, retarded, and every other form of the word, but truth be told, (no offense) 'ya got some tolerance problems to deal with too.

I wasn't trying to be rude. Trust me I wasn't. I was just trying to make a point.

  5. Couldn't you have taken your little rampage to pm yourself?

This picture gives me hope that WOMI got past his weird ass eyes on face-phase.

Weird ass eyes on face? What is that? I always thought he was a fan of boobs.

Anyway, RKS has officially jumped the shark with that image.

  7. God damn Luste put on some pants and eat a sandwich. Jegus.

I was talking about his little "redesign" (or whatever it was) of the anti-magi. Schirach and Pamelas faces were weird looking to me and I blame the eyes. (Or perhaps it's the mouth.)

And you're going to tell us what to do with a dead link that leads to nothing?

  11. Is it really enough to argue for nothing, like that ?

That's missing the point, I don't see much RKS-related things with these conversations...

  12. @Letty:
I've sent you a PM on Google.

    @Killing_Doll:
    He's the TL;DR version.

    1) Justin is choosing to neglect constructive criticisms.

    2) Justin doesn't know when to stop following RKS when doesn't like it in general.

I don't receive critiques often, and when I do, I never choose to neglect and ignore them. I do learn as I go, and only when I find critiques helpful, I'll follow them. You probably have only focused on the criticism when I was a newbie. And just to prove it, name one critique that I received from someone other than you that I hadn't taken into consideration.

    2) Justin doesn't know when to stop following RKS when doesn't like it in general.

False. If I wasn't a RKS fan, then why would I own, and (although rarely) play the first game? Sure I have given it a score two points lower than you, but that doesn't mean I hate the series. While I'm not found into you, or Mint for your crude attitude towards me, I do come here for my RKS news, since again, I like the series and find it's characters good-looking, plus this is the only halfway-decent RKS fansite on the Web.

  14. It's funny how you react to critique afterwards actually, going apeshit after a little edit like you were waiting just for an opportunity to talk big.

Or am I missing the big picture here?

  15. I don't remember going ape-shit after receiving a critique since like mid '09. Are you talking about me?

  18. Here we go again, calling me a "troll".

You guys fail to see what the whole purpose of "trolling" is. It's when someone goes up and yells at others for complements on their stuff.

I'm not as dependent on popularity as I was before, because I don't shout "CHECK OUT MY GALLERY" in the comments of another piece of art done by someone else. I get it the right way; doing my own art and complementing other's art with cheerful, kind words.

@Mint: What requirements do I need to become a blog writer again?

  19. Okay, I just ran into another graphic problem just several minutes ago, but this one is much worse. [Image]

I was going through multiple windows (using Winamp to play Luste's dialogue theme and going through my folders and Firefox), then I got back to the game window (it was the Japanese v1.06b game) and this happend. The game's text just vanished out of thin air, there's black pixels all over Luste's protrait (whaaaah... T_T), and part the game's background is clipping.

I know that you and TDOMMX are working the English patch for the current version of the game, but I think this is something that should be resolved before it gets done.

By the way, if anyone's wondering, my brother did in fact upgraded his Vista Home Premium PC to Windows 7 Ultimate.

  20. Viper: I remember coming across a similar issue when playtesting the English version (specifically, if you switch between Fullscreen and Windowed mode while a line of text is displayed, the current text suddenly "vanishes" when the game re-renders the graphics). The issue you described seems to be even worse since it disregards the transparency in the sprite and foreground layers. It might also be an OS-specific issue; the above problem was found on XP Pro and XP MCE, not 7. I haven't personally touched version 1.06b yet, so I can't say for sure if it's an OS compatibility issue.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot Mint or I can do at the moment beyond letting the devs know about the problem. Unless [erka:es] decides to give us the original source code, this kind of problem is entirely under their jurisdiction. Sorry.

While we're happy that we received permission from [erka:es] to localize their game, what we've done is, for all intents and purposes, an amateur job done without the original assets. Some of you might be mistaking the project as some sort of collaboration between us and [erka:es], but that's really not the case (though I wouldn't blame anyone for interpreting my past comments that way). Every change I've made to the executable was done manually; you have no idea how much easier it would be if I could just give [erka:es] a list of changes and ask them to recompile the EXE for us.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @TDOMMX: Well that's what I meant (sorry for if my previous comment was kinda misleading), because I didn't want to have you guys re-work the game's .exe after finishing this version, then another update for the game comes up afterward only to make you guys do all that work again.

I would like to them about the myself, but I wasn't sure if they can read English that good despite responding to a few messages that English readers sent to [erka:es] concerning Freudenstachel's development. Should I sent some information about my brother's PC specs to [erka:es] in case it's what's in the PC (video card, processor, etc., though I think the video card meets more than the requirements being an nVIDIA Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 card) that's the problem?

If you can let them know about the situation, can you also let them know about this issue with game messing up the graphics if I set the game's window size to anything other than 640x480 resolution (seen here set to x1.25 zoom - 800x600 resolution)?
