The curtain has… not done anything, actually!

I’d like to say that the curtain has risen, but it hasn’t. Still, who knows what has yet to unfold? Unfortunately, WOMI doesn’t.

So apparently, over the weekend, WOMI went to Isemiya’s house. This resulted in nothing, because there was no answer. According to the post, this isn’t the first time this has happened, and WOMI claims that he should’ve seen this coming. There are a lot of words in the post, but it all boils down to one thing:

The future of Rosenkreuzstilette ~Freudenstachel~, and [erka:es] for that matter, is completely unknown.

What we’ve got so far are some images, one of which hints at a new weapon, another that shows an inspired enemy from Mega Man 2’s Wood Man stage. Aside from that, you get a sliver of hope that RKSF will actually see a release.

Well, until we get some further information, you have the Grollschwert novelization and the revamped English patch to look forward to. I’ll actually be taking the scripts we have and doing some rewriting later this week. I may also try to get in touch with WOMI myself to see if we can arrange a talk. It’ll be something, I guess.

Until next time, everyone! Hopefully…

  1. While my predictions may sound a little stupid, the last screenshot looks it is part of one of the castles, and the boss is probably Schirach, since she seems like the bookworm of the series.

Also, the weapon that is shown in said screenshot looks as if it is a weapon like the Concrete Shot from MM9 that shoots a ice shard that turns into a block, or you place the block on the ground and give it a kick to send it flying.

Don't know exactly, so I'll hold off putting it on the Wiki until we get some more in depth info.

Also, good luck with getting in touch with WOMI. I swear he had a e-mail address up on his site back then, but now it's gone. >__<

  2. Well after years of waiting I think we need to come to terms with the fact this game is probably never getting released.

  3. To be honest, I don't see any point in following a game's development religiously before its release. Games get delayed and cancelled all the time, large chunks of games are reworked or scrapped, and every new screenshot and video raises your expectations to ridiculous heights.

I maintained a complete media blackout for Lament of Innocence and Lords of Shadow (among many other titles) and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Had I bought into the media hype, I'm sure I would have viewed the games in a much more negative light.

On a tangentially-related note, Yahtzee's review of DNF is pretty spot-on (assuming you don't completely miss his point).

  4. I don't understand. Is Rosenkreuzstilette made by one single person, or something?

By these news posts, I am lead to believe so.

  5. Little heads up: The [erka:es] blog was updated.

  6. Also sorry for double-posting, but WOMI also updated the blog on his own personal site with mentions of RKSF. I haven't bothered with translating the text, but I'm sure Mint may be able to describe it better.
