The Planned Future

We here at Schwer and Schwer Alike strive to keep things fresh, even if we're really bad about posting new content sometimes. Well, in an effort to get things rolling and continue the new year well, we're going to move to a new site soon! All of the important content featured here will be archived for future browsing, so don't fret there!

In addition, we will be utilizing our Google+ more in the coming days. However, in order to better ensure such utilization, we will be setting up a new G+ page. I encourage you to check that out when it's all said and done. Our Facebook page will remain as is, and we will be using both it and our new G+ page for some upcoming surprises! Hopefully, I can finally give out Kiora's doujinshi... *hint hint*

I hope everyone will stick with Schwer and Schwer Alike in 2013. Thank you for helping us stay a reliable (?) RKS resource!

Oh, and our translator has the RKSF script. Just throwing that put there.

  1. Let's wait for the new website then, good news :)

And good luck to DS for the english translation, do you have an idea of the duration of the project ?

  2. This ought to be interesting... Thanks for the heads-up, Mint.

Off-topic, but has anyone discovered the mystery behind that screenshot of RKSF that WOMI posted in his most recent devblog?

  3. Looking forward to the new website and also the Kiora doujin ever since the contest last time we did. Oh and my email is now tzeshern@hotmail.my

  4. Any news on the revised script for the first game?

  5. WOMI just posted a new update again, with what appears to be a take on CWU-01P, the bubble boss from Mega Man 1 and Mega Man Powered Up, more specifically the Powered Up version by the appearance. Intriguing.

    1. Perhaps somebody could write to WOMI about why he posted that mysterious new screenshot and that new sprite...?

  6. Saw "C84" written in that last post.

I'm thinking that for Summer Comiket WOMI is making a "special stage" for RKSF with the CWU-01P lookalike as the boss.

  7. WOMI updated again, this time explicitly in ENGLISH that he's releasing a hard type/directors cut of Freudenstachel with "reconstructed" stages, enemies and a different protagonist.

He also posted a new screenshot of Freudia using a standard buster instead of Freudenstachel.

This might warrant a news post.

    1. It seems like WOMI heard the criticism regarding how RKSF may have felt too much like the first game, so he's making an upgraded RKSF.

I'm willing to bet this may reach MegaMari levels in terms of difficulty, with bosses just as difficult as Rockman Cross X.

    2. All we've seen is a stage screen shot and an enemy, I think it's far too early to make such a sweeping assumption.

Not to mention if the changed protagonist is Tia, which the screen of Freudia with a buster would lend itself too it might end up feeling more like the first game.

    3. I wouldn't be surprised if the changed protagonist is indeed Tia herself. Besides, those standard buster shots are non-charged Seelegewehr shots.

  8. I would sooo want to play with Eifer !

Seelegewehr sprites are maybe a dummy, I just hope some Eiferstachel instead.
    She's so cute !

  9. There could be an explanation as to how Freudia was firing Seelegewehr: She copied it from Spiritia as she was being abducted by Schirach. Sure Freudia's bow wasn't a different color (WOMI may have not implemented it yet), but it could be very possible that if the option to play as Spiritia wouldn't be in, then you could opt to start with Freudenstachel and/or Seelegewehr.

    1. Well that's possible but it seems unlikely because WOMI says he's going to change the protagonist later in development so it won't be Freudia in the final version.

Tia's the one that makes the most sense, Eifer could work but I think it'd be a stretch.

  10. Guys, it probably just means that Freudia is getting changed in some way, not that the role of protag is going to someone else. The game is still called Freudenstachel.

  11. WOMI posted a new update of Freudia in a sadistic looking spike gauntlet.

    1. Oh my, this is starting to look like a fan-made Kaizo hack. Do you think WOMI'll start putting kaizo blocks in Schwer's stage?

  12. WOMI's updated his blog again, which he hasn't done for two weeks. This update features a new pic with seven screenies featured all on the same piccy, the last six featuring Tia. So yeah, if Letty thinks it's just Freu getting changed in some way and not that there's gonna be a different protagonist, I strongly disagree.

    1. That update is titled Rosenkreuzstilette Ver. 0.571, I think he just posted some really old concepts for some reason.

    2. Actually upon further review it appears he is making an RKS source book.

    3. I believe the screens show a very old build of the original Rosenkreuzstilette, like an early [erka:es] logo, the priest that is normally seen in Grollschwert's opening, and even the Game Over screen depicted on the RKSF April Fool's site from a few years back.

  13. So hey it's April Fool's day and WOMI "announced" RKS: Lustatem.

    1. It looks amazing. HNNGGGG

Freudenstachel was once an april fools too, please, that would be awesome.

Also, someone save and translate that shit before he takes it off again

    2. I'm going to at least upload the screens to the wiki in a bit here, for prosterity. Not to mention OtherArrow needs help with the enemy split project he started today it looks.

It is worth noting pretty much every April Fools joke about Freudenstachel had a grain of truth in it, see UNBEKANNT in Pamela's mode for instance. It could happen, and WOMI does seem to mention a boss contest in the news post so who knows.

    3. Well scratch that the page is already down and I didn't get a chance to save them real sorry guys.

    4. Double scratch that I was having cookie problems all is well.

    5. Never mind that, someone else just uploaded the pictures from the Lustatem April Fool's site onto the wiki. I uploaded some more of those images from that same site as well.

P.S. Hey! Guess what? I know tomorrow's April Fool's day, but that's not the only holiday I know that occurrs on April (there's also Earth Day, too, of course.): on either the last day of April or the first day of May is Walpurgis Night, a European holiday celebrated six months away from Halloween (RKSF even mentions a few references to the holiday, like within several dialogues and even the second-to-last stage's title). Cool, huh?

  14. So I'm going to make a post on this blog about Lustatem, but I'd rather not, since it seems it'd be very minor and it'd feature things from my own point of view.

But even if this is an April Fool's prank, it'd make for a good Metroidvania-style parody of the RKS series (like how Parodius was to Gradius). However I do find it ironic how I first thought up of the Metroidvania concept with my "Rosenkreuzstilette G" concept that died pretty quickly, and how I came up with Trauare suddenly being able to transform herself into a mermaid years ago.

Still looking forward to anyone that could get these screens and stuff translated.

  15. Heh... A two-disc soundtrack with only two tracks on it (Game Over and the Iris Fortress Map). And Liebea's dear brother in Luste's skimpy outfit... If that doesn't scream "April Fool's!", then, damn it, nothing will.

    1. The game information on the top page is also a pretty good indicator.

Especially the cost being given in relationship of a teams winning streak.

  16. Can someone be a dear and please save all these images on the site for me and put it in a *rar file? I want to cherish every last bit of Luste... *w* I'd love to do it myself, but I can't get any time to my brother's PC at the moment. /xbox
